Through collaboration and discussions between schools and their teachers, a wide variety of post-16 courses can be offered to their learners. Networks or clusters of secondary schools will offer different post-16 courses depending on the need and specialist teachers available within the network or cluster. The variety of post-16 courses currently being delivered across Wales include Further Maths, Computer Science, French, Welsh 2nd Language and many more.
Since starting in 2018/2019 the number of collaborative e-sgol courses delivered by schools has increased from 4 courses to 56 courses in 2023/24. As a result, 584 learners from across Wales benefiting and accessing these hybrid learning courses.
e-sgol ethos promotes and supports the professional and passionate teachers within their schools to deliver the courses, via a hybrid learning approach , to interested learners, thus broadening their post-16 curriculum offer.
