Nia joined the e-sgol team in July 2022. Nia manages the Carlam Cymru project. This national project is the branch of e-sgol responsible for commissioning, creating, and maintaining a collection of videos that support students with their revision. There are videos at three levels – GCSE, AS and A Level – in a wide variety of subjects, in Welsh and English.
Nia has worked in education throughout her career – as a primary school teacher, teaching English to children and adults in Catalonia, supporting policy work on qualifications in Welsh Government, and as part of the Aberystwyth University marketing team.
In addition to her work with e-sgol, Nia is a part-time Welsh Tutor with Learn Welsh, teaching Welsh to adults online. When not working, Nia enjoys music (singing and playing piano and flute) gardening, walking in the mountains, following art and learning languages.
